Mrs. Katie Hood began teaching in 1994 and joined Providence in 2015 as a Title 1 Reading Resource teacher. Katie has worked as a preschool, pre-Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, Reading Recovery and ESOL Transition teacher. She earned a Master of Arts in Leadership in Teaching and a Second Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Loyola University of Maryland. Katie's favorite activities are spending time with her husband and two children, reading and enjoying the beautiful scenery at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland.
