FCPS Cares
FCPS Cares is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care. We invite you to submit your story so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees.
Business and Community Partnerships
The Business and Community Partnerships office’s primary functions are to recruit and supports Ignite Partnerships, serve as a liaison to local Chambers of Commerce and other community organizations, help lead the annual Collect for Kids school supply drive, manage the FCPS Donations Portal for donated goods, and promote the Savings for Staff merchant discount program.
In the last decade, the Business & Community Partnerships team has helped secure over ten million dollars in donations of money and valued goods through partnerships and direct donations, not including the value of volunteer hours contributed by partners and mentors.

YRCI
YRCI is veteran-owned business that provides cutting-edge custom recruiting and outsourcing solutions to federal and commercial clients. YRCI specializes in the Human Resources Consulting (HR) and Contracts Management & Procurement (CM&P) sectors. YRCI has been a partner with Providence since 2005. The heart of YRCI’s partnership support is the team of employees/Mentors who provide social and academic support for those students in need. They have increasingly provided more support beyond the mentoring scope such as being involved with “Read Across America” Day in honor of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday as well as other activities at our school.
AFCU
Apple Federal Credit Union has been our business partner since spring of 2006. They started out with one mentor and currently provide us with several mentors for students with academic and/or social needs. Their dedication to providing support for our school has been immense and we are fortunate to have such a committed and dynamic group. One of their mentors, Robert Sowell awarded VA Mentor of The Year in 2015.
Assistance League of Northern VA
Assistance League provides great support to our families in need. Each year Assistance League has nurtured our students with a holiday meal (Giant gift cards), provided spring shoes through Payless Shoe coupons, and continues to educate our students through the Reading Express program. We were able to service over 50 families!
The City of Fairfax School Board
The Fairfax City School Board has provided mentors to our school for many years. Their continuity and follow-through and impact they have had with our students has been immense. We are grateful for their longevity.
The City of Fairfax Police Department
The City of Fairfax Police Dept. has been providing mentors to our school since 2015. This relationship has cultivated from 3 police officers to now 12 officers. We sincerely appreciate the positive impact they have had on our students and their presence in our school has been dynamic. We know many of our officers arrive after being on demanding overnight shifts and still invest their time in our students.
Parent Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to the success of Fairfax County Public Schools. Many enriching and worthwhile experiences are afforded to our children through the volunteer help from parents. Every day, volunteers change the lives of students across FCPS and we offer several ways for people in the community to get involved.
