Congratulations to the Providence ES website and our school-based technology specialist and web curator Ms. Gina Shelton! The Providence website was named one of three 2018 FCPS Best Elementary School Websites at this year's Web Curator's Conference!

Below is the write-up that was read as Ms. Shelton received her award.

Site administrator Ms. Gina Shelton took advantage of the many photos of the beautiful still life displayed throughout Providence Elementary School that were captured during a recent photo shoot that happened just weeks before the school launched in April 2018. From the incorporation of the school’s dozen plus wall murals to the beautiful photos of the school’s interior halls, foyer, library, and more, the creative and bright photography energy to the school website and made viewers want to visit the school just to see the visuals. Gina has updated bios and photos of all of her staff members on her grade level team pages and does an excellent job of featuring the unique programs that the school offers, such as the Providence STEAM Lab and the Chinese - Foreign Language in Elementary School/Language Through Content (FLES/LTC) program.
