Ms. Christina Ammirati, Band Director, attended George Mason University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Education and then a Master of Music in Flute Performance two years later. She has been teaching elementary band for since 2003 and directs the annual Fairfax Area Honor Band. Ms. Ammirati achieved National Board Certification in 2007 becoming the first band director in FCPS to do so. She loves to practice her flute, read and review middle grade books for her blog @bandofmgbooks, cheer on the Capitals and Nationals, and attend Broadway musicals and other live shows.
