Mrs. James began her career in FCPS in 2002 as an instructional assistant. The next year she became a classroom teacher and continued to teach until 2018. During that time, she has taught first through fourth grade. She returned to an instructional assistant position for the 2018-2019 school year in sixth grade. Mrs. James has since returned to classroom teaching for the 2019-2020 school year. Mrs. James received her degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is married, has two adult children and one adorable dog! Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and cooking. Mrs. James and her husband enjoy spending time at their lake house where she enjoys maintaining a large vegetable garden and searching for new recipes in her free time. She likes to spend time near the water and has learned how to drive a boat! Mrs. James is looking forward to and is excited about a new school year and grade level with a new group of students!
