Ms. Amanda Steen, Special Education Learning Disabilities Teacher, started teaching with Providence Elementary in August 2021 after completing many years of teaching in Texas and Oklahoma. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Speech and Hearing Science and began her work in education in 2009 as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant before getting her teaching certification in Special Education. She has really enjoyed getting to know the Providence community and looks forward to another wonderful school year! She has a broad background in theatre and film and currently produces short films with her production company Seen & Heard Productions. She lives in Burke, Virginia with her amazing boyfriend, Nathan.
