Mrs. Tania Dedham, AVID Elementary Coordinator, started her teaching career with FCPS in 1993 as a third-grade teacher and became a reading specialist in 2000. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (PreK-4 w/minor in social studies) from Radford University, and in 1997 she received her Graduate Certificate in Literacy/Reading Instruction, Concentration in Reading Specialist K–12 from Virginia Tech. She began teaching the AVID elective course at Johnson Middle School in 2018 and is now the AVID Elementary Coordinator at both Providence Elementary and Daniels Run Elementary. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, biking, and watching basketball.
