Mrs. Hickey joined Providence Elementary in 2017 as an assistant principal. She previously held the AP position at Coates Elementary from 2011 to 2017. She started her teaching career as a middle school teacher in Loudoun County and was a fifth and sixth grade AAP teacher at McNair Elementary. Mrs. Hickey graduated from Ball State University with her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, obtained her masters from George Mason University, and completed the LEAD Accelerated Cohort in 2010 in Administration and Supervision. Mrs. Hickey and her husband have three children; a daughter who recently got married, a son who is working fulltime at Sherwin-Williams and a daughter at Virginia Tech. They love to go to the beach and travel to Smith Mountain Lake for relaxation.
