Mrs. Laura May, Sixth Grade teacher, began teaching in 1983 after graduating from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Education Degree. Later, she returned to GMU for a Masters’ Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She moved to Providence in 2001, and has been happily hanging out with sixth graders, ever since. She lives in Fairfax City, with a very sassy cat named Brownie! In her spare time Mrs. May loves to travel, sail, read, take rowing classes, and cheer on the George Mason Patriots Men's Basketball Team (#1 fan!) , the Boston Red Sox, the Nats, and the Wakefield Chapel Wahoos!
